With snow falling steadily for the past few days and more in the forecast, CAA North & East Ontario (CAANEO) would like to remind travelers to be cautious on snowy and slushy roads.
ESPANOLA, FEBRUARY 25, 2010 - CAA NORTH & EAST ONTARIO ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO ITS NORTHERN TRAVEL STORES
CAA North & East Ontario (CAANEO) will close its Espanola Travel Store effective at the close of business on Friday April, 9th, 2010.
OTTAWA, FEBRUARY 25, 2010 - Go Travel South Has Ceased Operations
Halifax-based discount vacation provider Go Travel South announced yesterday that it has ceased operations, leaving thousands of would-be vacationers looking for alternate plans. Go Travel South was not registered in Ontario and therefore not covered by the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) Compensation Fund.

Now more than ever, CAA North & East Ontario would like to remind all motorists to keep their eyes on the road, as Ontario's ban on the use of hand held electronic devices while driving takes effect today. The province joins Quebec, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland in the ban that seeks to limit driver distractions and reduce collisions.

As millions of Ontario students head back to school this week, CAA North & East Ontario (CAANEO) would like to remind everyone to study up on school bus safety. Ontario law requires motorists travelling in both directions to stop when approaching a stopped school bus with its upper red lights flashing.

An arctic cold snap has swept across North & East Ontario, bringing frigid temperatures, glacial winds… and car troubles. When temperatures dip below -25º, this is referred to as a 'Code Red Day' at CAA North & East Ontario (CAANEO). During this time, CAANEO experiences a higher than normal volume of calls for road-side assistance.
