If CAA/ AAA service is not available, the Member may make alternate arrangements, pay for the services and submit the original, legitimate business itemized invoice bearing the Member's name within 30 days from date of service. Reimbursement will be based on the prevailing commercial rates for the area where the vehicle was disabled.
We can still cover some of the cost of service, depending on your situation and your level of Membership.
Similarly, if CAA/AAA service was available but alternate service was obtained, the reimbursement will be based on the CAA/AAA contract rate for the area of the breakdown, along with your Membership coverage type. In this circumstance, the amount refunded to a Member for services from non CAA/AAA establishments will often be less than the actual.
Full reimbursement will be provided for all eligible services where CAA/AAA contractor service is legally restricted (such as toll roads and limited access highways) to the nearest repair facility or exit depending on membership level.
CAA Plus and CAA Premier Members: Services delivered to motorcycles with or without side-car will be provided without cost in Canada through a reciprocity arrangement between CAA Member Clubs. However, due to differences in service terms in the U.S., Members should expect to pay for service provided to motorcycles while travelling in the U.S, and may submit original receipts to CAA North & East Ontario for reimbursement.
CAA Plus RV and CAA Premier RV: Trailer service received in the U.S. on anything but a travel trailer must be paid for and original receipts submitted to CAA North & East Ontario for reimbursement.
