Anchors Away for Anthem of the Seas

Read on to find out more about the world’s most revolutionary ship.

Unveiled this past April, Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas, the second of Royal Caribbean’s Quantum-class of ships is now making the Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne, New Jersey its permanent home, after spending the last several months cruising around Europe.

Touted as one of the world’s most revolutionary ships, this 4,180-passenger vessel is packed with innovative features like a skydiving simulator and a deck-top fun zone called the SeaPlex with bumper cars and roller skating. High-tech novelties like a ride in the sky in a glass observation bubble and being served a drink by a robot bartender are par for the course on Quantum ships, which includes Anthem of the Seas’ sister-ship, Quantum of the Seas.

With itineraries such as five- and 12-night sailings to New England and Caribbean destinations like Bermuda and the Bahamas, Royal Caribbean executives say the ship is perfect for year-round voyages especially when the weather gets cooler as there are plenty of indoor activities to enjoy. Guests can take in a massage at the spa, enjoy the indoor solarium, watch a show in the Music Hall or dine in one of the ship’s many complimentary restaurants.

With so much to do onboard, Anthem of the Seas is quickly becoming a destination in its own right that is high up on the bucket list for so many cruisers, including CAA North East & Ontario’s own president and CEO, Christina Hlusko. CAA Members are invited to experience the ship next year on the annual President’s Cruise. The President’s Cruise will take place November 20-27, 2016; sailing from New Jersey to the Bahamas and back, with stops in Port Canaveral, Florida and Coco Cay and Nassau in the Bahamas.

CAA Members can look forward to the “presidential treatment” on this special sailing, which includes a Welcome Champagne, VIP Priority Check-in, $50 USD onboard credit per room, seven nights’ cruise accommodation, and much more – all for just $1,361 (interior stateroom with virtual balcony) or $1,496 (balcony stateroom), taxes and port charges included. Transportation to and from Cape Liberty Cruise Port, fuel surcharges, passport and visa fees, etc., are extra.
