CAA NEO Diamond Award Winners Sparkle

Six prestigious establishments earn the coveted Four Diamond Rating

CAA North & East Ontario (CAA NEO) is excited to honour six outstanding establishments with the prestigious CAA/AAA Four Diamond Award for 2015. A marker of luxury, the Four Diamond Awards recognize best in class hotels and restaurants, so it comes as no surprise that the upscale and elegant Westin Ottawa has once again been recognized.

“Thirty- two consecutive years of Four Diamond recognition is truly an honour and recognition of the great service and facilities the Westin Ottawa has to offer,” said Ross Meredith, General Manager of the Westin Ottawa. “We are proud of the affiliation with CAA and the work they do to inform and educate the travelling public.”

Three other well-known Ottawa hotels are also receiving the award. The Fairmont Château Laurier has received a Four Diamond Rating for the past 18 years, the Brookstreet Hotel is marking their 12th year on the list, and the Ottawa Marriott Hotel is enjoying eight years of Four Diamond status.

“We’re fortunate to have such an amazing collection of top-notch hotels and restaurants in the Ottawa region,” said Christina Hlusko, President and CEO of CAA North & East Ontario. “We’re thrilled to be able to announce the winners of this year’s CAA/AAA Four Diamond Awards. All six of the winning establishments are well known in our community for their outstanding service. We’re proud to be able to recognize each of them for their continued commitment to excellence.”

Two restaurants also earned a Four Diamond Rating for 2015. Beckta Dining & Wine, which recently moved to a new location on Elgin Street, is celebrating 11 years as a Four Diamond recipient, while Restaurant E18hteen, is enjoying their second year of Four Diamond status.

Internationally recognized, the CAA/AAA Four Diamond Awards are handed out annually to restaurants and hotels following inspection by some of the best professional evaluators in the business. Each establishment is visited anonymously and graded on nearly a hundred criteria, including atmosphere, service and quality, before a rating is determined. For a Four Diamond restaurant that means having creative menus, eye-catching presentation and excellent service. It shouldn’t just be a meal, but a completely enchanting experience. Hotels are held to the same exacting standards. They’re expected to provide an upscale and elegant atmosphere, extensive list of amenities, and staff members who make every guest feel special.
