Overview
We are looking for a goal-oriented individual with proven success in exceeding sales targets and managing projects involving multiple stakeholders. The ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure is crucial. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed, along with the ability to engage in onsite activities, is required. Knowledge of CAA North & East Ontario (CAANEO) programs and services is a plus, and proficiency in French would be an asset.
This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring in-office presence two days a week, and involves some out-of-town travel.
Reporting to the Manager of Business Development, the Sales Executive is responsible for growth of programs through membership sales and partnerships. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans that align with company objectives and targets. This role requires a proactive approach to both inbound and outbound sales efforts, with a focus on generating new business opportunities through persuasive sales calls (in person and virtual) and compelling value proposition pitches. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, enabling them to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels and convey information clearly.
The Sales Executive will nurture and foster existing Membership accounts while also driving new business. This individual will create comprehensive sales decks and pitches, while fostering strong relationships with clients to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. Collaboration with internal teams is essential to provide seamless service and support. The candidate will also track sales activities and performance metrics using CRM tools. Regular reporting on sales forecasts and results to management will be a key aspect of this role.
Requirements
Educational and Experience:
- 3-5 years in a sales role, with an emphasis on B2B style sales.
- Proven ability to achieve and exceed targets.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage and negotiate across all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to speak French an asset.
Project Management:
- Proven experience in managing projects with multiple stakeholders, ensuring timely and successful execution.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Travel and Driving:
- Comfortable with out-of-town travel. Possession of a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to Club Standards
- Willing to attend community events for networking purposes representing CAA North and East Ontario.
Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Planning:
- Develop, implement, and continually refine strategic sales plans aimed at achieving company objectives, including membership growth, new partnerships, and increased revenue streams.
- Identify key business opportunities and design tailored strategies to convert them into long-term partnerships.
Sales Generation and Client Acquisition:
- Conduct both inbound and outbound sales efforts, targeting potential partners and businesses through cold calls, networking, and scheduled meetings (both in person and virtual).
- Proactively identify prospects, qualify leads, and turn them into sales opportunities through effective engagement and negotiation.
- Leverage various channels (phone, email, online platforms) to generate leads and schedule sales calls or demonstrations.
Sales Presentations and Proposals:
- Create, customize, and deliver compelling sales pitches that articulate CAANEO’s value proposition to potential partners and clients.
- Prepare comprehensive sales decks and proposals tailored to meet the unique needs of each prospect.
- Present product and service offerings clearly, demonstrating how they align with the client's goals and objectives.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients by delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, providing continuous support and solutions that align with their needs.
- Organize and conduct follow-up meetings with clients to ensure product/service delivery meets expectations and address any concerns or questions.
Event Representation and Networking:
- Attend industry and community events, trade shows, and networking events to represent CAANEO and promote membership offerings.
- Build and expand professional networks to generate leads and build brand awareness.
Sales Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track, analyze, and report on sales activities, metrics, and performance using CRM tools.
- Regularly provide sales forecasts and performance reports to management, identifying challenges and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Business Development to align sales activities with broader organizational goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and client interactions within the CRM system.
Compensation
- Salary: $55,000 - $60,000
