How to Make an Insurance Claim for Trip Cancellation and Interruption
Haven’t yet submitted an insurance claim to CAA Travel Insurance for your cancelled or interrupted trip? Submit it online – it’s the easiest and fastest way of making a claim!
Here’s what you’ll need to do to submit your trip cancellation and interruption claim to CAA Travel Insurance.
Trip Cancellation Insurance Claims
Step 1: Contact your travel provider or travel agent to cancel your trip. Make sure to ask your CAA Travel Consultant for proof/confirmation of your trip cancellation/refund, and/or voucher/credit details. Keep in mind travel vouchers/credits for future travel offered by travel suppliers are considered refunds.
Step 2: Open your trip cancellation insurance claim online or mobile app and follow the instructions here.
Step 3: Complete the claim forms. Ensure you have all the required documentation for your claim, which is listed on your claim forms.
Trip Interruption Insurance Claims:
Note: You are eligible for trip interruption insurance coverage if you left Canada before the Global Affairs Canada travel advisory to avoid non-essential travel was in effect and you had to come back to Canada earlier than planned.
