Retorque Your Tires

Retorquing is a vital step in ensuring that your vehicle's wheel nuts, bolts, and critical fasteners remain properly secured as you drive your vehicle. The initial settling and compression of various components can cause fasteners to slightly loosen, potentially leading to a range of issues, including vibrations, uneven tire wear, and even the risk of wheel detachment in extreme cases. We recommend retorquing your wheel nuts within 100km following install service.

Now available in Ottawa: Drop-In Retorquing Service

We've now made retorquing more accessible with our Drop-In Retorquing Service in Ottawa available exclusively to Members who have completed a Mobile Tire Service appointment with CAA in the Spring 2024 season. We value your time and convenience, and our service is provided at no additional cost. Our skilled technicians carefully inspect and tighten fasteners to manufacturer specifications, ensuring your tires stay securely in place and enhancing your driving experience.

Here's how it works:
1. Drive to one of the locations listed below and CAA's trusted contractor, Easy Tire, will be available in the parking lot to provide efficient retorquing services. If a technician is already working on a vehicle, park in the nearby area.
2. While you wait, you can stay in your car or engage in other activities.
3. Our average retorque takes less than 5 minutes, and once the technician is available again, they will promptly attend to your vehicle's retorquing needs.

The locking wheel nut set is equipped with a unique key which looks like a socket.  This key can only be used to remove your locking wheel nut set.  It is very important to have this key whenever the wheels are removed.  The wheel cannot be removed without it.
