Why should I get vehicle damage insurance rental travel insurance?

CAA recommends purchasing travel insurance coverage for your rental vehicle. Here’s why:

  • Avoid auto insurance rate hikes if you get in an accident while renting a car. Odds are you’ll be driving an unfamiliar vehicle on unfamiliar roads. Any claim you make with a standalone policy won’t impact your everyday auto insurance.
  • Many car rental companies require you to have coverage before taking the keys.
  • Keep your policies all in one place with CAA Travel Insurance. If anything happens while on vacation, you’ll only have to work with one company to process your claims. Why not choose that company to be Canada’s Most Trusted Brand3?
