November is here, which means the last leaves are falling and the winter winds are blowing in. Throughout this month, you can get a taste of the holiday season at markets, exhibits, sing-alongs, parades and winter wonderlands to get you in a festive mood.  

Not ready for Christmas yet? We've gathered up other things to do in Ottawa. November is also jam-packed with sports games, concerts, theatrical performances, film festivals and more, meaning that one of the darkest months of the year will be illuminated by exciting events, from beginning to end.  

Scaramouche – Celebrating the Music of Queen

Have you ever wished you could have seen one of rock’s most well-known bands live? This dynamic Queen tribute group will rock you with performances of classic, iconic songs from this timeless band. Chamberfest Concert Series

SKATEPARK

When: November 6 to 8, 2025 

Dance meets skateboarding in this live performance celebration of skate culture and dynamic movement at the NAC. Local skaters and professional dancers join forces to bring you parkour, tricks, and gravity-defying jumps in a unique stage environment. You'll get lost in the choreographic flow of skaters of all ages as they express the unique community only found in this subculture.  

Dueling Pianos

When: November 6, 18, 22, 25, 2025 

Ottawa trio the Dueling Pianos is composed of Tyler Kealey and Dave Kalil on keys, plus Todd Huckaborne on guitar. The band plays semi-regular shows at venues around the city, providing you with the chance to request your favourite songs, jam out to some sweet harmonies and enjoy the tunes of this longtime Ottawa band.  

Symposium Gatineau en Couleurs  

Where: Château Cartier, 1170 chem. D'Aylmer, Gatineau, QC 

When: November 7 to 9, 2025 

This art exhibit is an opportunity for creatives in the Gatineau region to showcase their best works in a magnificent display of colours and artistic talent. Spectators can enjoy the pieces, speak with the artists and even find one to add to their personal collections as 70 painters and sculptors from across Québec promote their work.

National Military Cemetery's Annual Remembrance Day Service

Beechwood Cemetery is home to Canada’s National Military Cemetery, the final resting place of those who served in the Canadian Forces with honour and dignity. National Remembrance Day Ceremony

Each year, Canada’s Prime Minister, Governor General and annually selected Silver Cross Mother gather at the National War Memorial to honour those who have served in Canada’s military. Winter Count: Embracing the Cold

This art exhibit combines works from Indigenous, Canadian settler and European contexts that explore how winter has historically shaped the human experience. From contemporary Cree artist Kent Monkman to Canadian painter Maurice Cullen, this collection explores the visual language shared by artists from the 19th century to the present, highlighting the techniques—and critiques—that unite their works.
