How does the service work?
Our certified technicians will clean the impact area of any type of debris or dirt. Once the surface is ready, they drill halfway into the glass at the impact point. Next, the injector plunger is positioned over the chip. A small tube feeds a resin solution. Finally, the technician uses a pressure-and-vacuum cycle to push the resin in and the air out. Finally, a drop of pit resin is added and cured with a UV light to create a protective layer. After a bit of smoothing and polishing, the task is complete! The entire process is remarkably quick – only one hour.
Bonus: The area is now strengthened to prevent further chips.
What type of windshield chips or cracks can you fix?
The chip or crack should be dime-sized or smaller. It cannot exceed 1.8 cm, and there must be a minimum of 4 cm between the point of impact and the edge of the windshield. The area must not obstruct the driver’s line of sight and must be limited to the outer layer of glass.
