As scorching July days turn to balmy August evenings, you'll be looking for fun activities to fill the rest of your summer. Sunflower fields are at their peak between late July and early September, meaning you can step into the beauty of a floral paradise in full bloom.
There are plenty of farms in the province where you can see stunning sunflowers up close. You’ll want to spend hours wandering the dreamy golden pathways, snapping gorgeous pictures and even picking your own bouquets.
If you’d like to lose yourself in a radiant sunflower field, visit one of these seven Ontario farms this summer.
Green Corners

Green Corners is a pick-your-own sunflower field located in Ottawa's beautiful rolling farmland. As the farm staggers their planting, the flowers bloom periodically until the beginning of September, so you won’t have to worry about missing a short window. They also grow other seasonal flowers like snapdragons and zinnias, meaning your personalized bouquet will be colourful and unique.
Fields of Gold

This sunflower field is an utterly Instagrammable escape from the city. Lose yourself in these beautiful flowers and let your troubles melt away. Davis Family Farm

The Sunflower Festival at Davis Family Farm features one kilometre of sunflower fields for you to enjoy. Pose with curated props arranged throughout the fields and check out the weekend vendors throughout the festival. You can even attend their Night in the Field event, where live music and gorgeous blooms mingle for the perfect summer evening.
Campbell’s Cross Farm
Where: 3634 King St., Caledon, ON
With over 700,000 sunflowers across 30 acres, this farm wants you to reconnect with nature and the people around you. You’ll explore the sea of golden blooms, feel the warm country air on your face and even visit the animals who call Campbell’s Cross Farm home. If you’re feeling thirsty after wandering the fields, stop in at the farm’s brand-new Cordoba Café for a tasty brew.
Bragg Farms
Where: 3048 Concession Rd. 3, Bowmanville, ON
For a more rustic feel, check out Bragg Farms, owned and operated by eight generations of the Bragg family. This authentic experience offers beautiful fields of sunflowers for you to tour. The first hour of every day is dog-friendly, so your pup can enjoy the blooms too! You can also participate in events in the flower fields, like yoga classes and beeswax candle painting nights.
Andrews Farm Market and Winery
Where: 9365 10 Side Rd., Milton, ON
Andrews Farm Market and Winery specializes in pick-your-own experiences of all kinds, but their sunflowers are the real showstopper. Select each stem carefully and craft your perfect bouquet in their expansive fields. Harvest for peaches, pears, apples, and plums overlaps with sunflower season, so you can also grab some delectable late summer fruit. On your trip, kids will enjoy the petting zoo, playground and wagon rides.
Laura’s Farm Stand

This social media-famous stand offers U-pick sunflowers for the whole family. Watch the stalks sway in the breeze along the half-kilometre sunflower trail and snap some pictures against a photogenic summer backdrop.
