Pumpkinferno is an illuminated path of more than 7,000 beautifully carved pumpkins that look like haunted art. Admire the themed pumpkin displays and join a digital scavenger hunt to enhance the glowing trail.
The Halloween experience includes access to Pumpkinferno and the Big Nickel Show, spooky science experiments, pumpkin passports, ghost rock polishing, steampunk wood burning, star dust discoveries, and other activities.
New in 2026 is an adults’ night on October 8 with a night market, a fireside DJ, classic spooky films, and a themed excuse to dress up. Bring your kids to an early, daytime experience during Lil’ Pumpkins for a less intense Halloween experience.
Witches & Warlocks Paddle
Where: Sudbury Canoe Club, 206 Ramsey Lake Rd., Greater Sudbury, ON

Don your best hoods, robes, pointed hats, and warts if you have them for a witches-and-warlocks-costumed parade. Feel the magic as you cross the lake via paddleboard, canoe or kayak, launching at 6 p.m. sharp. A DJ will be spinning spooky beats at a post-paddle social with refreshments and a photo booth. Bring a non-perishable food item as a donation and don’t forget your life jacket.
The Infirmary: XIX
Where: Sudbury Events Centre, 19 Regent St., Sudbury, ON

Are you brave enough to navigate the hallways of The Infirmary? Prepare for scary encounters in the second edition of this massive, haunted attraction. This year promises new haunts that will be more terrifying than last year.
Haunted Walk and Pumpkin Carving with Goats
Where: Sckopke Farms, 544 Casimir, St. Charles, ON
When: October 23 to 25, 2026
Costumes are encouraged for a spooky forest walk around the farm. Visit on the evening of October 25 if you’re looking for a fright, as scare actors will hide in the dark and roam through the trees. On Friday, you can enjoy non-fright hours for an eerie walk without the scares, and on Saturday afternoon, the little goblins can experience the trail. Entry is donation-based, cash or non-perishables, for the local food bank.
All ages are welcome to participate in pumpkin carving with a twist – goats! Who knows if the pumpkin will survive. The animals love it as a snack (but you can also bring it home). There will be paint available for little ones to decorate safely.
Sudbury Halloween Night Market

Bringing together local makers, artists, small businesses, and performers, this annual market transforms the space into a festive Halloween affair. Shop a variety of handmade goods, vintage pieces, tasty eats and weird, witchy items. Enjoy evening shopping, live entertainment and an array of costumes. Wear your best to enter the costume contest.
The Great Pumpkin Hunt
Where: Kivi Park, 4472 Long Lake Rd., Greater Sudbury, ON

Embark on an epic Halloween hunt to find one of six hidden golden pumpkins for a chance to win a grand prize. Get dressed in your best costume for the search, and wander the pumpkin patch with over 1,000 pumpkins. Each family member gets to take one home. As in past years, a festival village will be full of games and activities. Enjoy a s’more station, play ghoulish games, bounce on inflatable castles, take pictures in the spooky photo booth, and enter the costume contests. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and a shuttle will run from the South End Walmart.

The Trail of Purgatory

Experience eight haunted sites along a dark, foggy trail as ghosts and ghouls jump out to give you an extra fright. Stroll the cemetery, survive the purge, visit the spooky circus, escape the haunted forest, check out Area 51, make it out of the insane asylum, don’t die in the slaughterhouse and lastly, navigate the zombie apocalypse. The haunted experience grows bigger and more terrifying each year and runs on donations. Family-friendly nights let you walk through the chilling displays without jump-scare actors.
Haunted Harbour – The Black Tide

You can’t run, and you can’t hide. A toxic spill has plagued the ship and grounds; the crew is missing, and something menacing is creeping around each corridor. Multiple haunted areas cover two full floors of the Alexander Henry, plus part of the grounds, where scare actors wait to pop out at any moment.

Terror in the Bay Film Festival

Halloween Hoot
Where: Fort William Historical Park, 1350 King Rd., Thunder Bay, ON
When: October 17, 18, 24 and 25, 2026
Fort William Historical Park transforms into Halloweentown each October for its daytime Halloween Hoot, and the 2026 theme is birds. Frolic through a family-friendly, haunted event featuring a costume parade, trick-or-treating, creepy crafts and other activities.
Mysterious birds have taken over the historic site. Follow the story of an owl who falls from his nest and, after losing his memory, is chased by a hungry fox. Help the owl escape the fox, return to his nest, and regain his memory. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for kids and students, and free for little ones five and younger.

Weekends in the Pumpkin Patch

Get chills in a haunted barn, jump on a bounce pillow, wander through a corn maze, roast marshmallows by a bonfire, take a tractor ride, and sling pumpkins from a cannon. Pick out a pie pumpkin to decorate and grab a cookie, all included with your entry ticket.

Pumpkin Hunt and Haunted Forest

When: Pumpkin Hunt dates TBA; Haunted Forest on October 10, 2026
Bring the little ones to Copeman Tree Farms for the daytime Pumpkin Hunt, where they can search for their favourite gourd amongst the trees. Each child receives a pie-sized pumpkin to paint, plus cookie decorating, a maze, a train ride, and wagon rides. Larger pumpkins will be available to buy too (cash only), along with refreshments. The hunt runs for a few days in the fall.
For adults who prefer a good scare, the farm hosts a Haunted Forest on October 10, 2026. Stay alert as you wander through the fog, with heart-pumping sounds surrounding you and scare actors threatening to pop out at any turn.
Fright Week
Where: The Capitol Theatre, 150 Main St. E., North Bay, ON

Three Nights of Psychological Terror brings a different classic horror character to life, reimagined. Frankenstein, the tale of a young scientist who finds the key to eternal life and creates an abandoned creature that goes on a path of destruction, is performed on night one. On October 30, you can watch the haunting story of The Wolf Man, or watch a performance of Dracula, a mysterious nobleman invading the normal world in a battle of good versus evil, on Halloween evening.
Halloween Ghost Hunting
Where: North Bay Public Library, 271 Worthington St. E., North Bay, ON
When: October 29, 30 and 31, 2026
A new, chilling scavenger hunt hits the library as children try to collect a unique item from each ghost they encounter. Older kids will get laser tag kits, and the little ones can grab flashlights to search with confidence. They’ll break up into teams to explore the auditorium and navigate obstacles to seek ghosts of all types, made of paper, 3D, fabric, and yard, but only some are special and can be caught. The event is for ages six to 16.

Buzwah’s Festival of Frights

Stroll along a trail of glowing jack-o'-lanterns to a haunted walk full of twists and turns. Split into multiple themes of terror, scares will hide in the Evil Dead School Bus, Catacombs, Demon’s Hallow, and the five spooky rooms of the Manor. A massive gothic archway will lead you into a roofless cathedral filled with oddities, Halloween props and a confusing maze before you continue through the other chilling sites.
Mindemoya Haunted Trail
Where: Pioneer Museum, 2207 Hwy. 551, Mindemoya, ON
When: October 30, 2026
Fall into the horror screen with this year’s theme, Going to the Movies, where the haunted trail features scary movie scenes and characters. This Halloween attraction is a classic haunted house-type experience full of jump scares, frightening light displays, and sound effects.
Admission is $5 cash at the gate, and tickets are sold in half-hour time blocks from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., with the earliest two tours featuring some remaining daylight and, therefore, being less scary.
