Green Corners Farm

Distance from Ottawa: 0.5 hours
Frolic through garden beds full of zinnias, snapdragons, cosmos, sunflowers and endless greenery. There are more than 30 types of sunflowers in many colours, including white, yellow, red, and multicoloured varieties. For just $25, you can fill your basket with your heart’s fancy, with up to 25 points worth of flowers. Sunflowers cost two points, and all other blooms are one point each.
If you prefer to see the flowers without taking any home, admission to the farm is just $5.
The season usually runs from mid-July to the first frost (in late September or October), with sunflowers at their peak in August. Next spring, you can also pick tulips.
Willow’s Flowers

Join a pick-your-own flower event and create a personal bouquet between July and October. Blooming in the city’s west end, Willow’s Flowers houses rows of rainbow stems at BeetBox Farm. Once ready, pick-your-own bouquet events are posted online, where you can reserve tickets to walk through and pick flowers in the field on a summer evening or weekend. Keep an eye out for special workshops as well, like the Pottery and Flowers Workshop on June 24, 2026, where you’ll learn to hand-build a ceramic vase, returning on July 14 to pick flowers to fill it. This small-scale organic farm is fairly new and continues to expand, so be one of the first to experience this floral dream within the city.
Nested Acres Flower Farm

The change of the month brings new flower varieties and a new build-your-own-bouquet workshop at Nested Acres (June - peonies, July - lisianthus, August - zinnia, September -sunflowers and many other blooms).
Workshops include flower picking, followed by designing a personalized bouquet with a professional's help; great for all skill levels. The price per workshop starts at $100.
Rae Country Farm
Distance from Ottawa: 0.75 hours
Your next date night or friend hangout is sorted; grab a ticket for one of Rae Country Farm’s floral arrangement workshops. Otherwise closed to the public, you’ll harvest your own stems from the garden, playing florist from start to finish. Take your handpicked bouquet and learn about floral design from the experts. Discover unique flowers you’ve likely never heard of, as well as fan favourites like zinnias, peonies and dahlias (depending on when you visit this summer).
A half-acre of beautiful lavender typically blooms in early July, so stay tuned for pick-your-dates, plus more floral workshops. Lavender season is usually just two weekends, so keep an eye out for online tickets in June. The cost is $15 to pick your own lavender bouquet.
Wild Blooms Farm

Connect with nature during a beautiful evening of yoga and blooms. Gather with an intimate group, pick flowers to create your own vibrant bouquet, then get your om on in an outdoor yoga session and finish with some light refreshments. There are a limited number of events, so sign up soon to guarantee a spot, whether a summer morning stretch-and-craft session, a slow sunset session, or an early fall brunch workshop appeals to you. Bring your mat, water bottle and a vase! The price starts at $75.
Wildling Acres
Distance from Ottawa: 0.75 hours
Special floral events take place throughout the summer, both prescheduled and some pop-up workshop nights. On July 31, book a spot for their event featuring the nearby Green Gables Vineyards. The evening includes a garden tour with flower picking to create a bouquet, followed by a wine tasting and a delicious homemade meal. On August 21, Wildling Acres will be at the winery, hosting a bouquet-building night with snacks, music, and wine tasting.
Additional floral tours and bouquet-making workshops will be posted on social media on an ad hoc basis, depending on flower availability. These unscheduled events pop up on Thursdays or Sundays.
Meagan from Wildling Acres is also a part of the Ottawa Flower Market and Collective, which hosts a build-your-own-bouquet stall at the Parkdale Market on the third Saturday of the month. Stay tuned for tulip picking events next May.
McGregor’s Orchard

As the name suggests, you can go apple picking at McGregor’s Orchard, and they also offer a pick-your-own flower patch of zinnias. Fill a mason jar of colourful stems for $30 or pick 15 flowers for $15. There is a nearby sunflower patch to stroll and take lovely photos, and in the past, visitors have been able to add a sunflower or two to their bouquet. The season ramps up as summer comes to an end, in mid-to-late August.
The orchard also boasts a vibrant field of lavender, so that you can find handmade lavender products for sale. Coupled with an outdoor yoga session, you can breathe in the sweet floral smell in a 45-to-60-minute class, followed by flower cutting and a refreshing glass of lavender lemonade. These events cost roughly $40 and require pre-registration once posted online. Lavender picking dates are posted as ‘pop-up’ style events as they are heavily weather dependent.
Fields Of Gold

Watch for the gold rush this summer! Enjoy a sweet-smelling rainbow as you explore bloom-lined walking trails. In addition to big, bold sunflowers, there are about 20 other varieties you can hand-pick, such as dahlias, sweet peas, and zinnias. Floral installations create a dreamy backdrop for taking photos. Cool off during your floral adventures with a fresh lemonade or dirty soda from The Sunny Squeeze, plus snacks and sunflower products.
The u-pick patch will be open from Friday to Sunday in the season of blooms, July to October. Make your reservation online. Previously, the farm entrance fee was $15, and pick-your-own-bouquets started at $20 (prices may be adjusted in 2026).
Loulou Lavender

Forget the lavender fields of France! This summer, surround yourself with blooming fields of purple. There is also a gift shop where you’ll find lavender and other locally made products. Lavender treats, including flavoured ice cream and cookies, will be on sale this summer on select dates, with proceeds going to charity.
Mark your calendar, as lavender season begins in late June and continues into the first few weeks of July. There is no admission fee to visit this flower farm, and you can pick lavender bouquets starting at $8.
La Belle de Coteau-du-Lac
Distance from Ottawa: 1.75 hours
Head over the river to Quebec for two summer flower festivals at a colourful farm overflowing with petals. Flower season kicks off with Festi-Fleurs. On select dates from mid-July to mid-August, you can pick a bouquet from over 200 floral varieties. Explore a sea of sunflowers with over 60 types of this bright flower to choose from during the Tournesol en Fleur, which runs on weekends starting in August.
Flower festival admissions start at $22 for adults, and $29 to $33 to include a container to create your own bouquet of blooms. Choose from three bouquet sizes, with the collection jar included.
Take fairytale-worthy photos in front of new floral displays and immersive blooming installations. For an enchanting evening experience, visit during a sunset bonfire event, held from late July to August. Part of the season includes berry picking, plus there are food truck eats like burgers and desserts to fuel your floral adventure.
Ferme Marineau

Dive into an ocean of colours at this fairytale flower farm to pick a bouquet from thousands of blooms. Discover varieties such as cosmos, zinnias, snapdragons, sunflowers, celosia, and more in a range of shades. Flower-picking dates run from Thursday to Sunday, beginning in mid-to-late July and continuing until the end of August.
Spend your day enjoying other activities too, like the outdoor labyrinth with games (it’s bingo in 2026), select live performances, access to a café and creamery where you can grab icy treats, and berry picking.
The entrance fee to the farm is $9.95 per adult on weekdays, and $12.95 on Saturday and Sunday. A pot and shears are provided to cut blooms; the cost is $15.95 for one pot of U-pick flowers or $12.50 each for two or more. Magical photo ops await in the field of giant sunflowers.
