Green Corners Farm

Frolic through garden beds full of zinnias, snapdragons, cosmos, sunflowers and endless greenery. There are more than 30 types of sunflowers in many colours, including white, yellow, red, and multicoloured varieties. For just $25, you can fill your basket with your heart’s fancy, with up to 25 points worth of flowers. Sunflowers cost two points, and all other blooms are one point each.
If you prefer to see the flowers without taking any home, admission to the farm is just $5.
The season usually runs from mid-July to the first frost (in late September or October), with sunflowers at their peak in August. Next spring, you can also pick tulips.

Wildling Acres

Special floral events take place throughout the summer, both prescheduled and some pop-up workshop nights. On July 31, book a spot for their event featuring the nearby Green Gables Vineyards. The evening includes a garden tour with flower picking to create a bouquet, followed by a wine tasting and a delicious homemade meal. On August 21, Wildling Acres will be at the winery, hosting a bouquet-building night with snacks, music, and wine tasting.
Additional floral tours and bouquet-making workshops will be posted on social media on an ad hoc basis, depending on flower availability. These unscheduled events pop up on Thursdays or Sundays.
Meagan from Wildling Acres is also a part of the Ottawa Flower Market and Collective, which hosts a build-your-own-bouquet stall at the Parkdale Market on the third Saturday of the month. Stay tuned for tulip picking events next May.
McGregor’s Orchard

As the name suggests, you can go apple picking at McGregor’s Orchard, and they also offer a pick-your-own flower patch of zinnias. Fill a mason jar of colourful stems for $30 or pick 15 flowers for $15. There is a nearby sunflower patch to stroll and take lovely photos, and in the past, visitors have been able to add a sunflower or two to their bouquet. The season ramps up as summer comes to an end, in mid-to-late August.
The orchard also boasts a vibrant field of lavender, so that you can find handmade lavender products for sale. Coupled with an outdoor yoga session, you can breathe in the sweet floral smell in a 45-to-60-minute class, followed by flower cutting and a refreshing glass of lavender lemonade. These events cost roughly $40 and require pre-registration once posted online. Lavender picking dates are posted as ‘pop-up’ style events as they are heavily weather dependent.

On select dates from mid-July to mid-August, you can pick a bouquet from over 200 floral varieties. Explore a sea of sunflowers with over 60 types of this bright flower to choose from during the Tournesol en Fleur, which runs on weekends starting in August.
Flower festival admissions start at $22 for adults, and $29 to $33 to include a container to create your own bouquet of blooms. Choose from three bouquet sizes, with the collection jar included.
Take fairytale-worthy photos in front of new floral displays and immersive blooming installations. For an enchanting evening experience, visit during a sunset bonfire event, held from late July to August.
