How to make an insurance claim for Trip Cancellation and Interruption

Here’s what you’ll need to do to submit your trip cancellation and interruption claim to CAA Travel Insurance.

Trip Cancellation Insurance claims

Step 1: Contact your travel provider or travel agent to cancel your trip. Make sure to ask your CAA Travel Agent for proof/confirmation of your trip cancellation/refund, and/or voucher/credit details. Keep in mind that travel vouchers/credits for future travel offered by travel suppliers are considered refunds.

Step 2: Open your trip cancellation insurance claim online or in the mobile app and follow the instructions here.

Step 3: Complete the claim forms. Make sure you have all required documentation for your claim, as listed on your claim forms.

Eligible travellers who purchase CAA Trip Cancellation & Interruption Insurance may also have access to CAA’s Flight Delay Benefit, which is separate from trip cancellation and interruption claims and may provide airport lounge access or a monetary allowance for registered flight delays.
