Explore Canada’s contributions to science and technology by visiting the three Ingenium Museums in Ottawa. Immerse yourself in displays and activities that showcase creativity and human ingenuity from past to future. There is much to discover at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, Canada Aviation and Space Museum and the Canada Science and Technology Museum throughout the year, and there is special programming in the works for March Break.

Get a sugar rush at Maple Fest

March Break falls amid maple season in Ottawa. There are several sugar shacks around the city to celebrate. Proulx Farm hosts an annual Maple Fest where you can feast on pancakes, warm up by a bonfire, eat taffy on snow, visit the petting farm animals, take a guided sugar shack tour, and more. Brunch is between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekends and Wednesday to Friday during March Break. You can also treat yourself to a hotdog or smores kit, homemade pie and maple syrup products.

Challenge yourself by climbing to new heights at a rock-climbing center, with boulder areas, a top rope with auto-belay, a speed wall and more. With three locations in the Ottawa region, each one offers something unique, with the Kanata location featuring a boulder section specifically dedicated to families and beginners. The Kanata gym also has one of the biggest Ninja Warrior courses in the country.

There is a new Sleigh Dogs activity this winter where you can get pulled by a team of huskies, weather permitting.
