More than a farm where you can pick sweet berries this summer, Leisure Farms is a family gathering spot. Take a wagon ride out to the fields, watch your kids climb on a play structure, roast marshmallows by a bonfire or grab treats from the bakery to enjoy a picnic.
They’ll be open for picking mid-to-late June 2026, offering haskaps, strawberries and, later in the season, raspberries.
Belluz Farms

Not only can you pick juicy strawberries (starting in late June or early July) at this family farm near Thunder Bay, but there are also Saskatoon berries and raspberries. Keep up to date with changes to berry seasons on the Belluz Farm website, where you can reserve a spot before you go picking.
Learn to make sweet jam at a summer evening workshop, which will also be posted online once the season begins.
There are treats for sale at the Harvest Cafe, produce and locally made goods in the farm store, plus a kids' play structure and an animal-viewing area. Berries are sold by the litre, and you’re welcome to bring your own container if the metric volume is printed on it or buy a basket onsite.
Kap River Farms

Kap River Farms is a popular summer destination for locals to spend time in the sun picking strawberries. Bring your own four-litre basket to carry strawberries for $17 or grab one upon entry to fill for $18.

You’re likely familiar with the idea of picking berries, but what about haskaps? This hardy superfruit belongs to the honeysuckle family and tastes like a tangy cross between a blueberry and a raspberry.
Pick your own haskap berries during harvest season, from mid-to-late June through August, for $6 a pound.
While at the farm, you can also try some haskap treats like the farm’s homemade ice cream, baked goods or sparkling berry juice during your visit.
Emiry’s Berry Patch

New berry plants have been planted this spring for even more strawberry picking opportunities at Emiry’s Berry Patch.
Treat yourself to some fresh strawberry frozen yogurt, a popular dessert made with their own frozen fruit. Eight different strawberry varieties bloom throughout the season, for more opportunities to fill your four-litre basket. Bring your own container if you have one.
Berries are sold by weight, and both cash and debit cards are accepted (no credit cards).
Algoma Highlands Wild Blueberry Farm & Winery

While you can’t pick your own blueberries, pre-picked wild blueberries will be available for sale once ripe in August. The unique sandy plains on which the farm is situated are ideal for blueberry production.
Handmade preserves, such as jam and BBQ sauce, are also available for sale in the gift shop. Stop and see a major tourist attraction highlight in the area, as Scenic High Falls is only accessible from this farm road.

With a sweet, tangy flavour that’s described as a cross between a raspberry and a blueberry, pick superfruit haskaps this summer at Honey Berry Fruit Farm. They offer eight different fruit varieties, ranging from tart to sweet. Grab a pound of berries for $11.

Rocky Ridge Fruit Farm

Once the crop is ripe, spend time this summer picking strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and cherries. Picking days depend heavily on how the berries are faring and the weather, so the farm recommends calling (519) 891-1248 before you visit.
Strawberries are sold for $22 per four-litre pail, blueberries are $30, and cherries are $25 per container. Raspberries are priced at $5 per pound.
Pike Lake Farms

Pick sweet, juicy strawberries and raspberries on the world’s largest freshwater island.
At Pike Lake Farm, you can go with your family and fill a three-litre basket with freshly picked fruit to bring home. While on site, you can find other produce at the farm store, like maple syrup, greenhouse tomatoes, and sweet corn.
Pike Lake Farms recommends checking online or calling before visiting for berry season to avoid disappointment. They have been unable to open for pick-your-own fruit over the past two seasons due to crop failure, but are hopeful for this summer.
