You can also relax in a red Muskoka chair overlooking water at Dow’s Lake, and two new recreational docks are coming this summer at the feet of Major Hill’s Park and at the Canadian Museum of History.

The Ottawa region is home to multiple berry farms where you can pick fresh fruit, and you can pick your own strawberries and raspberries at Shouldice Farm. Strawberry season begins in June, so it's in full swing by July, followed closely by raspberries, which ripen mid-July (depending on location).
