No, our visitors to Canada policy does not cover pre-existing health conditions. If you have been treated/hospitalized for a condition or were prescribed medications in the last three to 12 months (depending on age) you will not be covered.

If you need to be hospitalized while visiting Canada the “non-resident” rate for a hospital bed can be anywhere from $2,000 to $10,000 per day, plus the cost for physicians or surgeons. Which is why it is recommended to purchase the highest level of coverage for your vacation.

You must purchase this insurance policy at least seven days before or within your arrival in Canada.
