RV Membership

CAA Plus RV® or CAA Premier RV® Membership plans extend CAA coverage to your recreational vehicles (RVs), campers, trailers, and some trailers. Whether you find yourself with a flat tire, run out of gas, or have an incident on the road, our CAA fleet driver will transport your RV or trailer to the location of your choice.

Each RV service call counts as one roadside service call. As a Plus RV or Premier RV Member you are allotted a certain number of calls and a maximum towing distance based on your level of Membership. Premier RV Members are eligible for one call at 320 kilometres and four calls at 200 kilometres. Please note in the case of when CAA have has to tow both car and trailer, it will be counted as two calls. Only one of the vehicles (car or trailer) will be eligible at 320 kilometres.

For more information on the type of vehicles eligible for this RV coverage, please contact caaautomotive@caaneo.on.ca.

NOTE: CAA may ask you to unload/empty the content of your trailer (for utility trailers, flatbed trailers, cargo trailers  and gooseneck trailers) before service is provided. RV service coverage varies when you travel to outside Ontario, and to the United States.

FAQs about CAA RV Membership

Plus RV and Premier RV Memberships cover dual-wheel campers, motorhomes, trailers, and some trailers. Please note that CAA may ask you to unload/empty the contents of your eligible trailer before service will be provided.

For more information on the type of vehicles covered under an RV Membership, please see our eligible vehicles page or contact caaautomotive@caaneo.on.ca.

Service will be provided when possible.  If a roadside repair cannot be completed, CAA will arrange to transport the Member and their vehicle, subject to their towing limits based on CAA Membership plan.

Premier RV Members are eligible for one call at 320 kilometres and four calls at 200 kilometres. Please note in the case of when CAA has to tow both car and trailer, it will be counted as two calls. Only one of the vehicles (either car or trailer) will be eligible for the 320 kilometres.

Coverage is available anywhere CAANEO provides roadside assistance. Service will not be provided to inaccessible areas, or an area not regularly travelled; e.g., vacant lot, open fields, beaches, private or recreational roads, yards, gravel, mud or snow filled driveways or alleys (roadside service technicians will not shovel snow), construction sites, unmaintained roads, frozen bodies of water, fire routes or other locations that cannot be reached safely. Please note that CAA has the right to assess the road and determine whether it is passable. We do not remove or move trailers to and from semi-permanent or permanent campsites.

As with any vehicle, calls for RV will be within the standard service times. For larger RVs and fifth wheels, longer wait times will apply as it requires specialized equipment for the service.

Yes, each call for RV will count as one of the provided tows for that respective Membership level. In the case when we have to tow both car and a trailer, it will be counted as two calls.

Yes, service will be provided based on the level of Membership. Plus RV Members will receive up to 200 kilometres per tow; and Premier RV Members are eligible for 320 kilometres for one tow per membership year and 200 kilometres for any tows after that. In the case when we have to tow both car and a trailer, only one of the vehicles (either car or trailer) will be eligible for the 320 kilometres, the second one will be eligible for up to 200 kilometres.

Refunds will only be applied if CAA is contacted first and any refund will be based on CAA prevailing rates. Please see our reimbursement page for more details.

Reimbursement will vary depending on the circumstances. RV road service coverage in the U.S. may be capped at $500.00 USD per incident. Beyond the $500 cap, the Member will be required to cover any extra charges. Members can apply for full reimbursement, up to their towing entitlements under their Membership level, if there is a recorded call for service to AAA. A full reimbursement can then be requested. Reimbursement will be the Canadian equivalent of the USD charge. Click here for more information or to submit request: Reimbursement Form. Members with RV road service coverage are also entitled to towing services for flat tires, or the mobile repair of a flat tire. The cost of the tire is not covered by CAA.
