CAA North and East Ontario's Board of Directors help shape the Club's path for the future. As experienced leaders in business and not-for-profit enterprises, members of the CAA Board of Directors support CAA's management team to offer relevant, valuable services and benefits, with best-in-class customer service. The board offers financial oversight, and ensures the club adheres to laws, regulations and bylaws set out by CAA, as well as industry regulators. The board also strives to be leaders in organizational governance.

Victoria (Vicky) Paine-Mantha
CPA-CA, MBA | Chair of the Board, North Bay
Vicky is a people-focused leader with boundless energy. Her career has immersed her in university and college environments, software development and client support. Her versatility shines through in areas such as marketing, finance and adept union negotiations, all instrumental in strategic growth and organizational advancement. Vicky’s personal competencies are underpinned by her CPA-CA designation, complemented by an MBA and previous positions as Vice President Finance & Administration at both Nipissing University and Canadore College, as well as her tenure as President & CEO of two small business enterprises. She drives positive change and tangible outcomes with a flair for conflict resolution, innovative problem-solving and collaborative leadership.
Vicky is a committed community builder who serves as a director on numerous boards, including the Ontario Centre for Innovation and until recently, the North Bay Regional Hospital Foundation.
William (Bill) Middleton
Vice Chair of the Board, Ottawa
Bill is a thoughtful and dynamic leader. A resident of Ottawa, he brings a wealth of insight and experience in diverse areas of law to the board of CAA North and East Ontario. Bill’s career encompasses senior business executive roles with technology companies in the Ottawa region, insurance companies and a large Canadian retail/wholesale/manufacturing company. Bill has also been a four-time General Counsel and was in private practice with two national law firms prior to that.
Bill is the Vice Chair with the Ontario Land Tribunal, an authority established in 2021 under the Ontario Land Tribunal Act to hear and adjudicate on issues related to land use, environmental and natural features, heritage protection, land compensation and valuation and municipal finance. Bill is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Association of Intellectual Property Lawyers of America, the Licensing Executives Society and the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Peter McIntosh
Immediate Past Chair, Ottawa
Peter is a forward-looking entrepreneur who has helped shape Canada’s retail and export landscape. As owner and president of McIntosh Trading Inc., an international multichannel importer, exporter, wholesaler and retailer in the gift and tableware industry, Peter’s expertise and responsibilities include product development, marketing, sales, human resources, operations and finance.
Peter is an Ottawa resident who has served on CAA North and East Ontario’s Board of Directors since 2007. He held the role of Treasurer (2013 - 2015), Vice Chair (2016 - 2018) and was Chair (2019 - 2021). He was recently appointed Immediate Past Chair of the Board and has been director of CAA National since 2022. Peter has been named Socially Responsible Retailers of the Year and was a Nepean Girls Hockey Association coach for many years, until 2023.
Gerry Brown
Board Member, Ottawa
Throughout his career, Gerry has focused on elevating education. Gerry is past President and CEO of Colleges and Institutes Canada (formerly ACCC). He also served as President of John Abbott College in Montreal and, prior to joining John Abbott College, was a Director of English Educational Services for the Quebec Ministry of Education. Gerry was a founding member and Chair of the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics, as well as the Chair of the Canadian College Presidents’ Network and its Presidents’ Academy.
Gerry is presently active as a consultant who joined the Board of CAA North and East Ontario in 2014. Gerry is a recipient of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee medal.

Sean Davies
Board Member, Thunder Bay
Sean Davies is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for Northwestern Ontario. As a leading business owner with diverse interests, Sean’s focus in transportation, aviation support services and real estate is driven by building connections between the north and the rest of Canada. A resident of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Sean co-owns Maintair Aviation Services Limited and Embark Port Services, is the President of DECIPHR Aviation Consulting and President of JSWaG Investments Limited. He also owns SkyFill Aviation Refuelling and Flightcraft Aviation Services.
Sean was 15 when he first worked in the aviation industry, loading luggage, and today, he owns an expanding and multi-faceted group of companies based on service excellence. Sean is an active Director on the Board for Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation. He is the Chair of the YQT Airline Operators Committee (AOC) and Co-chair of the NextGen Cabinet for the Cardiovascular Surgery Campaign. Sean is also a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal.
Tatiana Pranova
Board Member, Ottawa
Tatiana is a people-oriented leader who prioritizes the well-being of employees, family and friends. Tatiana joined CAA North and East Ontario’s board in 2020 as an accomplished finance executive. She brings more than 20 years of progressive experience in corporate finance and accounting in the technology industry, with a focus on financial stewardship, strategic planning and business strategy development.
Currently CFO of RealDecoy, she has also developed considerable leadership and management experience at Canadian Science Publishing, BA International Inc., BTI Photonic Systems, Optelian and Precidia Technologies. She also sits on the Jewish Education Board and the boards of Hillel Lodge and Odessey Theatre.

Marianne Matichuk
Board Member, Ottawa
Marianne has always broken barriers as a woman in business and politics. During her varied career, Marianne was the first female health and safety officer in Sudbury’s mining industry and became the first woman to be elected mayor in Greater Sudbury.
She is the Principal Consultant of M. Matichuk & Associates and was the inaugural Chief Administrative Officer of the Centre for Research in Occupational Safety and Health (CROSH). Marianne currently serves as Chair of the Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation (CEMI)/Mining Innovation Commercialization Association (MICA) and past Board Governor of the Canadian Registered Safety Professionals. She is a Past-President of Business & Professional Women Greater Sudbury. She holds CRSP, CHSC(R), Certified Lead Auditor designations and is a Certified Nutrition Manager.
Lori-Ann Martin
Board Member, Sudbury
Lori-Ann has built a career by breaking new ground in mining. One of few women executives in the mining industry, Lori-Ann’s 25-year career includes leadership roles with First Drilling, Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations–Glencore and Vale. She is presently an executive at Veracio.
A Sudbury native, she is passionate about the environment and the mining industry. Lori-Ann currently serves on four Boards of Directors, including the Northern Ontario Credit Union, North Bay Services and Blue Ice Gold. She is the former President and Founding Director of Women in Mining Northern Ontario.
“There are less than five percent women in executive roles in the mining industry. That means that there is still work to be done, so my goal is to create a bigger path for young women to find a place in mining.”

Raqui Kamel
Board Member, Ottawa
Ragui is a business leader with an international scope. As a senior global executive, Ragui has led P&L of up to $600M and global teams of up to 2000 people in numerous locations, including Korea and California. He has worked for Canadian, American and Indian companies and lived in seven countries. A senior technology executive, he has held roles as Group President, GM, COO, CTO, Global head of sales and VP R&D at companies such as Nortel, Bellcore, AOL and others. He has also spent time as a partner in Canadian venture capital. He was named one of the Top 100 People in IP Communications.
Ragui currently splits his time between Ottawa, New York City and the small village of Pouzolles in the Languedoc region of France.
Shawn D. Sutton
Board Member, Ottawa
Building teams based on dedication, teamwork, consideration, leveraging the talent of the collective and seizing opportunities has been central to Shawn Sutton’s career. Shawn is currently the Chief Financial and Risk Officer of a global healthcare services organization, where he provides financial and strategic leadership. As a business partner, Shawn has spearheaded numerous revenue enhancement strategies and business development initiatives. He has held senior financial positions, including Vice President of Finance at Corel Corporation and Chief Financial Officer of Pacific Safety Products.
Shawn holds a Master of Business Administration degree, a Chartered Accountant designation and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, holding the ICD.D designation. He also dedicates his time to serving on not-for-profit boards and coaching youth basketball.
