Gerry Brown

A resident of Ottawa, Gerry has been a member of the Board since 2014. Gerry is past President and CEO of Colleges and Institutes Canada (formerly ACCC).

He also served as President of John Abbott College in Montreal and, prior to joining John Abbott College, was a Director of English Educational Services for the Quebec Ministry of Education.

Gerry was a founding member and Chair of the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics, as well as the Chair of the Canadian College Presidents’ Network and it’s Presidents’ Academy.

Gerry holds a Master’s Degree from McGill University, an Honorary Doctorate Degree from the University of Atacama, Chile, and is a recipient of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee medal. He is presently active as a consultant at the national and international levels.
