Membership FAQ

View our territory map to determine if your home location falls within the CAA North & East Ontario territory. The Primary Member must live in our territory to buy a Membership from us.  If you live elsewhere in Canada, please contact the club closest to you to sign up or visit caa.ca to determine which club services your region.

No, a CAA Membership covers the individual Member and not the vehicle. One family member needs to be a Primary Member and then others can be added as Associate(s) for a discounted rate.

Yes, CAA Memberships with roadside assistance covers electric, hybrid and gas vehicles. All our regular services apply, with the exception of fuel delivery for plug-in vehicles.

CAA Classic, Plus and Premier plans include best-in-class 24/7 roadside assistance, with services such as fuel delivery, battery service, flat tire service, locksmith coverage, and more. All CAA Membership plans include Bike Assist™, as well as savings on fuel, auto and home insurance, dining out, travel bookings, automotive services, and more.

Members who join, transfer-in or reactivate their Memberships will be automatically registered for the CAA Auto Renew Payment Plan. All CAA Memberships are annual Memberships, regardless of whether it is paid in one lump sum or 12 payments. You can pay your Membership dues by either credit card or pre-authorized debit withdrawal.

CAA North and East Ontario uses Verisign to certify customers are dealing with a legitimate site. You will also see the "lock" next to the browser URL to confirm your connection is secure.

Upon completion of payment, a receipt will be sent via email to the email address listed on your Membership account. The receipt also lists your Membership number.

CAA Everyday and Classic® Emergency Roadside Service benefits become active 24 hours after joining and payment has been applied. CAA Plus®/ Plus RV® and Premier®/Premier RV® roadside assistance benefits become active 48 hours after joining or upgrading and payment has been applied. All other benefits can be used immediately.

Your Membership card(s) will be processed and delivered within two to three weeks. Physical CAA Membership cards are valid for five years, with dues billed annually.

If you have lost your CAA Membership Card and need to get a new one please submit a request here or call 1-800-705-1803.

Additional family members can be added to your CAA account as Associate Members through CAA My Account. An Associate Member must live at the same address as the Primary Member. To qualify, an Associate Membership must also be the same or lower coverage than the Primary Membership, e.g., if the Primary Member is CAA Plus level, the Associates can be Everyday, Classic, or Plus, but not Premier. eStatements are electronic statements sent to the Primary Member as a reminder of an upcoming Membership renewal. Once received, you can log into My Account to view your statement with Membership dues.

No, there is no charge for this service. All CAA Members are automatically signed up for eStatements as there is an email address on the Membership account.

Yes, we secure your private information using a VeriSign SSL Certificate. All Information sent from your browser to our servers is encrypted using SSL technology before transmission.

You will be sent an email notification approximately 30 days prior to your Membership fees coming due.
