CAA North & East Ontario expands community support with charitable partnerships and new grant program
Across North and East Ontario, community organizations are helping families access nutritious food, caring for animals in need and creating inclusive opportunities for more children to participate in sport.
For 2026, CAA North & East Ontario is supporting selected charitable organizations and is launching a new Community Action Grant aimed at supporting grassroots charities in our territory.
This year’s partnerships support organizations doing work at the local level. Our charitable partners include: the Ottawa Humane Society, Ottawa Food Bank, North Bay Food Bank, Sudbury Food Bank, Pregnancy Care Centre and Infant Food Bank, KidSport Ontario’s Ottawa and Sudbury chapters, and Atlético Ottawa’s Atléti Equal Access program. Each organization brings local knowledge and proven programs to the communities it serves.
“Community groups and charitable organizations across North and East Ontario are the engines building resiliency in our communities. Our aim is to support their work, increase their reach and put their successes at the forefront of our charitable giving,” says Jeff Walker, President and CEO of CAA North & East Ontario.
Through the new Community Action Grant, eligible charities registered in CAA North & East Ontario’s territory can also apply for one-time $5,000 grants for programs. Applications will be accepted from November 2 to November 30, 2026, for specific programs serving communities within CAA North & East Ontario’s territory.
