Find Travel Restrictions for Canadians

Where can I go and what restrictions are in place? That's the question on every traveller's mind.

At CAA Travel we know the importance of being an informed traveller, that's why we've partnered with Sherpa, a Canadian made travel visa company, to provide you access to their comprehensive travel restrictions map for up-to-date regulations across the country and around the world.

This map pulls data from governments, airlines, airports, tourism boards, public forums, media outlets, and more. So, before jetting off to somewhere new, check here to make sure you have everything you need for your upcoming holiday. Choose a country on the map below to begin.

Tips on How to Use the Travel Restrictions Map

If you are unable to find the information you are looking for, please visit travel.gc.ca for detailed information on country-specific passports, travel advisories, visas, and health requirements for your destination. The Government of Canada website should be your primary resource for current restrictions and regulations (but a CAA Travel Consultant can help you better understand these restrictions).

All Restrictions

The map will show you if travel is allowed by air, whether you need a negative COVID-19 test, if extra testing requirements are necessary for the unvaccinated, masking guidelines, and if a quarantine period is required.

Necessary Documents

If you require specific documents, such as the United Kingdom’s COVID-19 testing package or France’s mandatory health pass, links are provided to all necessary documents.

Arrival & Departure

Be sure to read the details not only on what you need to arrive in your destination, but what you’ll need to arrive back in Canada as well.

Connections & Transfers

If you have connections or transfers, remember to check the restrictions around these destinations as well in case there is any need to leave the airport. Also, certain countries require a negative COVID-19 test result even if you are only connecting through to another destination.

Check Your Vaccine Type

Some countries do not consider mixed vaccines to be a proper double vaccination, so be sure to check the specifics of which vaccines are recognized and that you have two of the same vaccine.
