1. What is an Associate Member?

A CAA Membership covers the individual Member and not the vehicle. One family member needs to be a Primary Member and then others can be added as Associates for a discounted rate. Anyone sharing the same principal address as the Primary Member is eligible to be an Associate Member. For households with many family members, a CAA Family Bundle might be right for you.

2. I would like to add an Associate Member.

You can add an Associate Member while signing up for your CAA Membership by clicking on the "+ Add Members" button on the Step One: Select a Plan tab.

3. I would like to add an Associate Member later.

You can add an Associate Member at any time through My Account. The amount will be prorated based on how much time remains in your Membership year. You can also add an Associate Member by calling the Membership Call Centre during business hours at 1-844-252-3648.

4. Is there a maximum number of Associate Members I can add?

You can have a maximum of six Associate Members and one Primary Member per Membership account.

5. What is a donor?

A donor is someone who purchases a CAA Membership as a gift for another person. For more information on Gift Memberships, please click here.

6. I can’t enter my postal code.

Please make sure that you are entering your postal code in the proper format, and with a space (e.g. A1B 2C3). If you are not sure of your postal code, you can use Canada Post's "Find a Postal Code" tool.

7. I can’t save my changes.

If you are unable to save your changes, it may be due to a technical error. Please email marketing@caaneo.on.ca with a brief description of the issue. Please allow one business day for a response.

8. I don’t have an email address.

An email address is required to sign up for a CAA Membership online. You can sign up for an email address through many different free online services, or you may be eligible for one through your internet service provider (ISP).
If you do not want to create an email address, contact the Membership Call Centre during business hours at 1-844-252-3648.

9. I am having technical difficulties not listed in this FAQ (e.g. can't click button, page not loading, etc.).

Payment

11. What are my payment options?

Annual Payment Plan: All Memberships are set up on automatic renewal. The credit card you provide will be billed annually for your Membership dues. We will send you a statement of dues one month before renewal time by mail and email to remind you of this arrangement and show changes (if any) to amounts for the upcoming year. Please ensure your email and mailing address is up to date to ensure you receive this statement.

Monthly Payment Plan: When choosing CAA's Monthly Payment Plan option to pay for your annual Membership, the credit card you provide will be billed monthly. We will send you a statement of dues one month before renewal time to remind you of this arrangement and show changes (if any) to amounts for the upcoming year. Your authorization remains in effect for each 12-month Membership year. If you choose to cancel your monthly payments during your Membership year, you will be billed for the outstanding balance of the annual Membership dues. By choosing the Monthly Payment Plan, you authorize CAA NEO to charge your credit card for the amount due. Please ensure your email and mailing address is up to date to ensure you receive this statement.

12. If I choose monthly payments, will my credit card be charged every month on the same date?

Monthly payment plans will be billed each month on either the 1st or the 16th. If you require further information or documentation, please contact marketing@caaneo.on.ca. Please allow one business day for a response.

13. I would like an invoice/receipt.

CAA North & East Ontario's Membership payments issue a statement of completion that you can print. This document also lists your Membership number. For Members who have listed their email address on their CAA account, a receipt is automatically emailed when a payment transaction is completed. If you have not received your receipt, please check your junk mail/spam folder. If you still have not received your receipt, please contact marketing@caaneo.on.ca. Please allow one business day for a response.

14. I have a valid credit card, but I can’t get through to the payment page. Can I finish the transaction somewhere else?

NOTE - A transaction is complete and processed when the online user receives a Confirmation # in the thank you page. An email confirmation will also be sent to the email on file with MyAccount details.


15. What is the cancellation policy?

Members can cancel anytime, but refunds (less cost of services used) are only issued within 30 days. This applies to new Memberships and renewals. If you choose to cancel your monthly payments during your Membership year, you will be billed for the outstanding balance of the annual Membership dues. By choosing the Monthly Payment Plan, you authorize CAA NEO to charge your credit card or withdraw funds from your bank account in the amount due. Cancellations must be processed by contacting an agent in one of our CAA Travel store locations, the Membership Call Centre at 1-844-252-3648, or by emailing membership@caaneo.on.ca.

16. How soon after payment does my CAA Membership coverage take effect?

CAA Classic Roadside Assistance benefits become active 24 hours after joining.  CAA Plus/Plus RV and Premier/Premier RV Roadside Assistance benefits become active 48 hours after joining or upgrading; however, you are able to access Classic level benefits after the first 24 hours.
